For instance, this tiny bookstore—the employees loved their manager so much that they put up with the music she played. She loved K-pop. They had nothing against it, but it wasn't really their thing. But they saw how happy the music made their manager, so they let her play it as much as she wanted. During the holidays she played festive Christmas K-pop music. She was very excited, but one entitled customer seemed perplexed, in an ignorant way.
This customer called her “weird” for liking this kind of music. So the employee pointed out that it was only weird if you think other cultures are weird. This man had the audacity to say he did… The blatant ignorance threw everyone off, so the employee snapped back and made it clear that, in fact, the customer was the “weird” one.
