There's nothing quite like receiving a hefty work bonus because of all the hard work you do on the job. Work bonuses are common practice among most companies and are given to both salaried and hourly employees. Receiving a token of appreciation from your company sometimes feels like it's the least they can do for putting you through another year of mayhem in a company seemingly always on fire. There are holiday bonuses and merit bonuses, and both can result in a frustrating realization that your company could not care less about you as an employee and a person. Don't believe me? As an employee, you don't want to believe that jobs can be so insulting and gift you a bobblehead of your company executives after a year of record-breaking profits.
