If there's one thing that's absolutely crucial for a relationship, it's honesty, trust, and communication. The fact that he not only lied to her, but that he also is shutting down her feelings about his actions is the worst case scenario. She's right to break up with him, he's not trustworthy.

“You’re making a big deal out of nothing”: Man lies about details of his bachelor trip to his girlfriend, she promptly breaks up with him when he refuses to take responsibility
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. In this day and age, lying is just as bad as actually committing infidelity, or anything similar to it. There's really no excuse to lie to your partner, and they have every right to be more than upset if you do. The enumeration of excuses is endless; they didn't want to hurt you, they wanted to protect you, they thought you'd be upset. But at the end of the day, it's the most immature option to lie to your partner. It only stimulates, perpetuates, and instigates insecurity and trust issues in the partner and the entire relationship. Protecting your partner would be to tell them the truth, and if there's something upsetting about the situation, then hiding it from them will only make matters worse.
In the story below, the protagonist is a woman whose boyfriend goes on a bachelor trip. She has one simple rule, which is to just fill her in on remote details of what he's doing, and if he's with girls or not. She doesn't want him glued to his phone, just basic communication and transparency. But apparently that was asking too much, and he betrayed her trust.
