When you spend so many hours a day with these certain people, they end up knowing more about your life than your friends and parents sometimes. We spend most of our time at work, so it’s no wonder we take home this baggage. What happens at work follows us throughout our lives. Because our workplace is where we spend most of our time, if we don’t enjoy it, or are not fond of a certain coworker, we can be consumed with the negativity.

“You can’t keep telling us what to do”: 35-year-old man puts new entitled 25-year-old female coworker in her place after she demands they change the entire office rules for her, causing HR stir
Hey there, internet folks. What takes place in the workplace, unfortunately, does not stay in the workplace. Everyone knows the phrase, "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," and we all wish this could be applied to our jobs. Unfortunately or not, our quality of life, and happiness in our free time is greatly dictated by the long hours we spend at the office, restaurant, school, or what have you. Our 9-5 becomes more than that in our hearts and souls, and there's little we can do to stop it. When you spend so many hours a day with these certain people, they end up knowing more about your life than your friends and parents sometimes. We spend most of our time at work, so it's no wonder we take home this baggage. What happens at work follows us throughout our lives.
Because our workplace is where we spend most of our time, if we don't enjoy it, or are not fond of a certain coworker, we can be consumed with the negativity. In the story below, the protagonist is a man who's worked at his office for 3 years and everything seemed to be going fine. That is until a younger woman is hired, and she seems to have the audacity to make demands about the entire structure of the office even though she's new. He puts his foot down.
