27-year-old brother starts referring to sister's new baby as his "son," his girlfriend considers break up as he starts planning his life around his nephew: "That's what a father does"

There is something positive to be said about men that have a strong parental instinct. While plenty of men want children, many of them don't really understand what it means to be a father; they just have a social and biological drive to procreate. However, there do exist plenty of men that completely understand the assignment. Perhaps they themselves had a great father figure and wish to emulate their experience; maybe they had a less-than-stellar childhood and desire to be the man their dad never was. It's also possible that some people are just born with the empathy, patience, responsibility, emotional intelligence, and spinkle of whimsy required to be a great parent.

In our story today, it seems that our protagonist's boyfriend has a very strong desire to be a father. Since she does not want any children, he turns his affections to his new baby nephew. His dedication to his single mom sister is endearing at first, but it takes a weird turn when he starts referring to the baby as his own son.
