I've done similar with a roommate who refused to clean a particular, big, communal pan every time she used it. We had a washing machine, so loading dirty dishes into it wasn't that hard, but the pan needed to be washed by hand, and she never felt like putting in the effort. So, instead of cleaning it myself each time she'd leave it in the sink, I started leaving it at her door.

Sure, this sort of thing is petty, but it doesn't come out of nowhere. There's usually a ton of history and broken promises that lead up to a boiling point.

25-year-old punishes her lazy roommate for leaving dirty dishes piled high in the sink yet again by placing them in a bin outside of her door, igniting roomie feud: “You couldn't even see the sink!”
Living with roomates isn't ideal for most adults; I am really glad to be out of that stage in my life. I do still live with a roommate of sorts – my fiancé, but we had an inkling before we moved in that we would be pretty compatible. Even still, we have little spats over what constitutes as a clean living room and how big the laundry pile should be before one of us does something about it. It's still worlds better than having to come up with a chore chart with a bunch of semi-strangers and temporary friends.
In our story today, a woman wakes up to find her kitchen totally unusable after her roommates leaves dishes piled high in the sink post-meal prep. To teach her a lesson, she puts all the dirty dishes in a bin directly outside of her room. Roomie throws a fit when she comes home, but the internet is delighted by our protagonist's petty revenge.
