Mom sends unwanted son to work on foreign farm, resulting in him making a fortune through hard work, he refuses to share the profit with the family: ‘Make your own money’

Every parent has a favorite child; that is no secret.

However, a decent parent still treats all their children with the same respect and care. Even if they do secretly like or connect to one child over the others, it would be better if they didn't favor them so bluntly. 

A parent who does favor one child should not be surprised if the other children act accordingly and distance themselves from the family because of the favoritism. It can be expressed in small actions, like not coming over to family dinners as much, or it can lead to dramatic family disputes that tear the relationships apart, like what happened in the story below.

The 30-year-old middle child in the story below definitely knew he was the least favorite child, and one decision by his mom made it clear to everyone else as well. She decided to send him to a foreign land to gain farm experience to help with the family farm, essentially exiling him from the rest of the family. Even though he was married, he went along with his mom's demands and went to work on this faraway farm for over five years, while the rest of the family stayed together and worked on the family business. 

After five years, this son gained enough experience and exposure to actually make a profit. He sold the land he worked on all alone and started a successful business. He took all that profit, moved out of the family village, and settled in a city with his wife and kids. Through all that, his mom and brother became quite jealous of his success and demanded that he share half of the fortune he made from the farm. According to their claims, since Mom was the one who sent him there in the first place, the family deserves to reap some of the fruits that were made. 

They didn't say anything about their behavior, the clear favoritism, or every single challenge they were responsible for. All they wanted was the money, and thankfully, the successful brother is not ready to share…
