3 Part TikTok Goes Viral of Woman Rescuing a Pregnant Stray Hit by a Car and Her Loyal Friend Who Won't Leave Her Side

Betty Walter uses her TikTok to promote rescuing dogs from horrible situations. Her handle is @rescuebetty and she recently posted an emotional video of her saving two dogs off the street. The dogs were inseparable and wouldn't leave each other's side. However, one of the pups was pregnant and suspected to have been hit by a car.  Walter had to be delicate in this situation, not only for the sake of the injured mama pup, but because her doggy friend was ready to protect her at all cost. Luckily, Walter's gentle approach gained the trust of both pups and she was able to get them into crates. 

Part I: Saving the Pups

This video went extremely viral and was even able to help Walter get donations to help with these pups. She posted a heart-wrenching follow-up video where she explains she took the pregnant dog to the vet. While trying to keep back tears, she starts the video by saying, “rescue [is] hard.” 

Part II: Emotional Follow-Up

With her viewers still needing to know what happened next, she posted a third follow-up video that was even more tragic than the first—the sweet mama dog had lost all of her puppies. Walter explains that the vet thinks she was in the process of giving birth when she got hit by a car, thus damaging her uterus too much for her to successfully birth the pups. 

Part III: Tragedy for Mama Pup

It's been an emotional roller coaster for Walter, these pups, and the TikTok viewers following the story. Hopefully, there will be a part four that's a little happier. The trending news brings in more viewers and sometimes more donations for Walter, which is part of the silver lining of this story. It's also comforting to know these two sweet best friend dogs are off the streets and in good care. Though Walter says the mama dog is depressed having lost all her pups, commenters hope she will be connected with a shelter who has orphaned puppies in need of a mom.
