The GoFundme has more than doubled its initial goal and the sweet Australian Shepherd's mom intends to donate the extra contributions to further cancer research in dogs.
Secret is an Australian Shepherd dog and is the smartest pooch you'll ever see. She's gone viral on TikTok just for all the amazing tricks she can do. She plays Jenga with her mom (and usually wins), she helps her mom cook, clean, and garden, and they do yoga and Irish step dancing together. Secret plays drums and guitar, and she even gives out the treats to children during Halloween. It's quite the wholesome and amazing sight to see. It's like she's a little furry human with a short wagging tail.
With 5.6 million followers, she is very loved on TikTok and viewers can't get enough of her cuteness and high dog intelligence. Many think she's a reincarnation of some lucky human who must've been very smart.
Recently, Secret's mom Mary, posted a tearjerker of a TikTok in the style of a Pixar film, even to the music from the equally as tearjerking film Up. The video was supposed to be in celebration of the 7 year anniversary of Seceret coming into Mary's life. It starts with Mary sad and depressed before she met her sweet pup. Then it shows Secret coming into her life seven years ago and saving her from a meaningless existence. The now-viral video shows scenes of the two having the most wholesome and lovable time all in the Pixar-inspired filter. But then, at the end, Mary says “7 years ago a dog saved my life… Now I'm trying to save hers.”
In the caption, she explains that Secret was diagnosed with cancer and needs help to fund her chemo and, potentially, bone marrow transplant. The Gofundme explains more about the situation and it dang near breaks your heart. But what instantly gives you hope, is seeing how many donations the page already has. The TikTok has really pulled through many of Secrets fans along with other dog lovers and Aussie pup enthusiast. The goal was set to $50k to help Secret out, but has now gotten well passed $100k in only 10 hours.
The extra donations will be given to dog cancer research to help find better treatments, and hopefully someday, a cure. Cancer is the leading cause of death with dogs and the research for it is really not as far along as it could be. Dog owners are constantly getting their heart broken due to the loss of their pet to cancer. At least it's comforting to see the Internet coming together to help save this one smart little pup.
