Man Doesn't Know Why He Gets Pulled Over by the Police, Realizes His Grandmother with Dementia Wrote a 'Help' Sign

She even played dead when the police finally got to her and this man was panicking.

Alzheimer/dementia is a heartbreaking diagnosis that is extremely difficult for families. Watching your love one slowly disappear in front of your eyes is one of the most difficult things a person can endure. However, as with many serious situations, sometimes there are moments where you just have to laugh. That moment happened with TikToker Mario Calderon one day while he was driving his grandmother with Alzheimer/dementia to his mother's house.

One day, he was bringing his grandmother to his mother's house who only lived about 30-40 minutes away. As he's driving on the highway, cars passing him are honking, flicking him off, and cutting him off and he doesn't understand why. "I thought, ‘why are all the douche bags out today?' he says in the video.

As he has this thought he sees in the rearview mirror that a state trooper is pulling him over. The TikToker has an irrational fear that he has a warrant out for something he didn't realize he did and instantly had that dreadful thought. The trooper says from his car speaker for him to put his hands out the window, open the door, and walk backwards to his trunk.

Once he gets to the trunk, another trooper went to the passenger side and tapped on the window to get the attention of his grandmother. That's when he was realized she had written a sign that read “help." He was not only in shock by that, after a few taps on the window from the police, it turns out she was also now pretending to be dead.

“[The] second cop went in through the drivers side. She still played dead. After a bit she lifted her head and started to giggle," he writes in the comments. "I had to call my mom on speaker to explain my grams Alzheimer’s/dementia. No one knows why she did it but she was so tickled… The cops understood and after some more explaining they let us go. They said I need to monitor her better but no charges.”

The grandmother found the entire situation hilarious and laughed it off. I guess when you're that old, you have to entertain yourself some how.
