TikToker Jay Lampy took to her viral profile to post a video about a recent situation to happen in her life—her home is infested with crickets. She says in the video that this has never happened before, but it's starting to grow into a larger problem, fully reaching infestation status. Before she started trying to get rid of the crickets, she Googled what she should do and found out that it's very bad luck to kick crickets out of your home. So basically, she's stuck with them.
“I did kick out one, and let me tell you, I had a really horrible week after that,” Lampy says. "And now they're just running around and I'm like, ‘please move, I just want to make a piece of toast and you’re in my way. And I open a cabinet and it's like, ‘oh hey cricket that I can’t kick out of my house, can you please just leave? I don't want to kick you out, I just want to ask you nicely to leave…'"
Cricket Infestation:

Though she is “crying” in the video, she also is known for her comedy on TikTok, so her followers know she's actually in good spirits about the situation. People are providing hilarious alternative solutions to her problem like training them to all chirp at the same time whenever a guest says a dud joke or to release a bunch of tarantulas or lizards into her home since they feed on crickets.

Recently, Lampy posted an update to her little cricket problem and shows she's taking a route that no one even suggested. Well, technically she got the idea from someone commenting that she should “try and send a message” to the crickets. That meaning killing one of them and posting it for all the other crickets to see as a warning of what could happen to them if they chose to stay in her home. But Lampy says in her update video that she is not a killer, so she decided to give another kind of message and that was to wear a shirt that says, “ur son is a hoe.”
“To send a message that their son is a hoe,” she says. “Sadly, I think the shirt might've rang too true for Gregory here who was the father of a hoe… I'm so sorry.” She says this while holding up the body of a dead cricket and ending the videos in remorseful tears. The cricket carcass is proof that she is indeed living in a home with crickets, but her tears for “Gregory” also prove that she is handling it more like one big joke. Which is great for the crickets! Maybe her luck really is changing since she decided not to kick out the crickets.
