Construction Worker Goes Viral for Saving a Hummingbird Tangled in Spiderwebs Who Crashed into His Worksite

TikToker Xavier Marrero aka @kolachekilla was working on a construction site when he came across a peculiar scene. By a pile of wood, an itty bitty humming bird was face planted into the side of it with its wings spread out. At first, Marrero was just excited to see a wild hummingbird so up close and personal. However, once he got a closer look to the little guy he realized something was really wrong. 

He noticed that the smol bird was tangled in tons of spiderweb. It's not uncommon for hummingbirds to collect abandoned spiderwebs to add to their nests, but this one seemed to try and take one down that she just couldn't handle. So he did what any good person would do, and dropped everything to try and save this little lady. In the video, it's amazing to see that the bird seemed completely relaxed as he tugged at her body removing the spiderwebs—as if she just knew Marrero was there to help her. 

Humming Bird Rescue:

Viewers love the content, one commenter even said, “You’re a Disney Princess now.” Many demanded an update/part 2 to the hummingbird rescue situation, since it ends kind of up in the air with marrero leaving the bird with some water after he removed the webs. In the update he says the scene actually happened several months prior, so it's not that new to him. However, he adds that the only update of the bird is that he left her with some diluted Gatorade (because he didn't have any sugar handy on the job site) and then he went back to work—next time he looked over she had flown away. 

So that's still a good update, though we might not know exactly where that lil mama is now, but at least we know she was able to fly away, which is good news in bird news.

Since the quick success of this hummingbird rescue TikTok he's started to share more of this nature experiences while on the job. His last post shows a beautiful monarch butterfly chilling on Marrero's hand while he's working on another construction site. “Just gonna start posting my encounters with nature," he captions the video with. His viewers truly think he's some sort of nature whisperer and doesn't even realize it.
