"Got all dressed up to choose chaos": TikTokers are Commenting on the Foreshadowing Video Will Smith Posted Before the Oscars' Incident

If you live under a rock and/or don't use the Internet, then let me fill you in on some Hollywood history that just happened this week. At this year's Oscars, Chris Rock took the stage to announce an award, as hosts do, he cracked some jokes and roasted some celebrities. He made a joke at the expense of Jada Pinkett Smith's alopecia and her husband Will Smith was not happy about it. He walked up onto the stage and slapped Chris Rock hard across the face. 

People were stunned. Rock was able to hold his own and keep the party flowing, but man oh man what a PR nightmare. Prior to the Oscars starting, Will Smith posted a video to his TikTok to show off how dolled up he and his wife got for the event. In the video he captions it “Me n'@jadapinkettsmith getting all dressed up to choose chaos” and paired it with a trending audio that says, “good morning everyone. God has let me live another day and I'm about to make it everyone's problem!”

Of course, the second everyone witnessed the violent incident on national television, they came running to this video. The irony, the foreshadowing, it's all so serendipitous. TikTokers flood the video with comments about how he wasn't lying about choosing chaos. Many fans have also taken to the video's comment section to tell Will how disappointed they are in his actions. And, of course, people got jokes. 

Though most of the comments are people either just cracking jokes are expressing their disappointment in the celebrity, some are actually supporting his action—saying it was a husband defending his wife. Many viewers also think that this video is proof that the entire incident must have been staged—the foreshadowing is simply too strong to be natural. 

Many commenters are asking for a Story Time—which, if you're unfamiliar with TikTok jargon, is when someone simply explains the entire situation in a video or several videos. People are thinking that if Will reacted so dramatically on live television, there must be something more to the story. Will is a comedian after all, you'd think he's be able to take a joke.
