Why do Karen's always think that calling "corporate" will have any effect? Like, yeah, call them and get banned from the entire chain rather than just this store. This dog grooming salon had multiple encounters with this Karen and had it up to here with her. None of the groomers could really do anything about it, so one employee stepped up. She very professional and respectfully said she's made a note in the system that this Karen customer would no longer be accepted as a client. The Karen stormed out threatening to call corporate (of course), but the employee was just ecstatic to have her leave the establishment for the last time.
Waiting for dog to come out.
Karen: “Did you get it all done today?”
Employee: “Yep. She's the last one.”
*awkward silence* dog comes out.
Karen: “Heyyy my purrdy girl!”
Employee: "How does she look?"
Karen: "She looks puuuurdy!" Talking to the dog. “You look better! You feel better?”
Inspects the dog trying to find an angle to complain about and get the grooming competed.
Employee: “Are you satisfied with the groom?”
Karen: “… I think so. Ummm, it looks like she has a little booboo about here…"
Employee: “She's got some moles. She wasn't nicked or anything…" Karen tries to get her to think they cut her dog. "She just has moles on her, that's normal for older dogs.”
Karen: “Really???”
Employee: “Yes, moles pimples—stuff like that pops up. I do notice we have some notes from previous appointments that you've also been rather dissatisfied…”
Karen: “Which one was it? Because there's been a couple… yeah.”
Employee: “Yeah, so since it seems like we're unable to meet your needs, we could recommend to find a different salon.”
Karen: “I probably will. I probably will. Because, yeah, you guys have not done a good job at keeping me happy as a customer. So yeah, we'll see.”
Employee: "Ok, well we have notes in here so we won't be able to have you actually work with us anymore… We do have other locations…."
Karen: “Oh ok, well. maybe I'll just talk to the corporate office about that."
Employee: “Ok, yes ma'am. Have a great day!”
The TikToker posted an update on the situation the further explained everything that went down. She said that this particular customer had come in multiple times and made her coworkers cry. She always had something to complain about and would do so by shouting and getting into the faces of the employees. She would even go behind the counter and yell. She would never have appointments, but demanded to be seen anyways. And then after the groomers squeezed her in and did their job, she would demand it all to be free of charge. Well, this was the day this employee simply had it and very calmly fired this customer.
