PlantTok is a very thriving subculture on the clock app. From farmers to botanists, even biologist dip their toes in the viral world of plant culture on TikTok. It's a beautiful place for those just starting their adventure in plants. Plant enthusiasts from all of the world share their tips and tricks on how to keep your plants alive and thriving on TikTok. New plant parents will show their ups and downs as well and provide another POV to help educate viewers on the world of plants.
This TikToker, @cream_time, however, isn't a great example of that. She recently posted a video showing of her plant, that very much looks like it's having a grand ‘ole time, and how she’s been taking care of it. She simply pours whatever drink she has on hand to the little leafy guy and it seems to thrive. Anything from Red Bull, hot tea, and vodka. She says “Nothing is off the table,” when it comes to what she's been feeding this guy.
It's not unusual for a plant to survive in strange conditions, life strives to survive. But what she is doing isn't recommended if you're trying to be a plant mom. However, many of her viewers are commenting that they've experienced the same thing when it comes to plants.
“Girl, my bong water helped a little patch of dead grass come back to life ☠️listen to no one, you do you,” one viewer comments. Another said that, “My 6th grade math teacher did this with the plant outside her window and it was the only one in the whole school to last through the winter.” “one year I did a science project where I had 3 plants given 3 different liquids and the rootbeer plant destroyed its water and apple juice test-mates,” oner viewer said.
So, now we've got bong water and rootbeer on the table for plant enhancers? Do they teach this in botany school? A few botanist actually comments, one said that it's a well-known fact that caffeine actually help plants grow fast. Another plant enthusiast even commented that plants tend to do well with beer as well. Most of her viewers are stoked on the TikToker's plant's progress, but warn her to go easy on the sugary drinks because that can cause mold and attract bugs.
