Cats Who May Have Lost Their Legs But Are Still Purrsevering

Sometimes, unfortunate things happen to the most undeserving creatures. These cats and kittens are some of these creatures. Whether by amputation or through accident, these cats have lost one or more of their legs. Sad as we may be about it though, these cats are proof that we can get through anything and live happily. And that even if one is not perfect, they're still deserving of care and love.

To celebrate their perseverance, we have put together a collection of pictures of cats who have lost their legs. Some of them are hopping on their back legs, some have figured out a way to walk on their front legs alone, but they're all alive and happy. We're here to show them and their owners the appreciation that they deserve and wish them the absolute best in the world.

Educational Tumblr Thread On Financial Assistance For Disabled People

This Tumblr thread shines light on the terrible struggles experienced by disabled individuals in America, when it comes to getting financial assistance. Specifically, we're talking about scenarios where these individuals literally can't save money, and are forced to deplete their resources every month, for fear of being cut off from financial assistance. If they exceed a certain amount of money, their financial assistance is pulled. What a mess.

Heartwarming: Man Documents His Daily Life With a Blind And Deaf Dog

While many people would hesitate to adopt a disabled dog because they are concerned that they might not be able to take care of the pet's needs adequately, Aiden Michael Mann, a veterinary assistant, knew he was definitely up to the task.

He adopted a deaf and partially blind miniature Australian shepherd named Plum and the two became a perfect match!

Although he was worried at first, when the two of them finally met, Aiden knew he had made the right choice.

Once Aiden brought Plum home, the real work began. He needed time to adjust to her needs, and she needed time to adapt to him and her new environment. Aiden taught her to sit when touched under the chin, and he also taught her to follow. To do so, he would gently guide her nose in the direction he wanted her to go in.

Aiden posts on his Instagram page videos and photos from their daily life together and it's heart-melting!

Snake-Bitten Mini Horse Named Teaspoon Can Walk Again Thanks To Wheelchair

This poor mini-horse has had a real tough start to life, at just 5-months-old.

Teaspoon, was sadly left disabled after being bitten by a snake in her back leg. The leg soon became necrotic and needed to be amputated. Teaspoon's former owners soon realized they wouldn't be able to provide the attention and extra care she needed following the operation.

Panda Paws Rescue came to the rescue! With additional help from the New Jersey-based animal farm rescue Goats of Anarchy, the two rescues came together to carefully transport Teaspoon from Louisiana to her new home at Goats of Anarchy, which is a farm that is focused on caring for special need animals.

And when Walkin' Pets heard about Teaspoon's five months of hardship, they also wanted to help. Thanks to the parts they donated, the first-ever Walkin' Wheels wheelchair built for a horse was created! And additional thanks for the wheelchair frame donated by Panda Paws.

Thanks to all these incredible people who came together -- Teaspoon can now walk!

Her journey so far as been documented on Goats of Anarchy's Instagram page:
