Neil deGrasse Tyson was not ready for Bill Nye to roast his long-winded rant about how consciousness "doesn't exist."
Sometimes Twitter gets people really riled up and one guy who really knows how to exploit that is Neil deGrasse Tyson. The scientist's brain is full of amazing information, but sometimes he says things that make us question his genius. His latest tweet about Elsa (from Frozen's) facial proportions has really got Twitter going crazy and shows that he should really stick to the more intellectual side of things.
Check out people's less than complimentary reactions to his observations and then take a look at some of deGrasse Tyson's other condescending tweets that got people angry.
Neil deGrasse Tyson has another bone to pick with the English speaking world. The scientist took to Twitter last week to bemoan the way we've learned to use the word "awesome."
"In my day, the word "Awesome" was reserved for things like curing Polio and walking on the Moon, not for food or TV shows."
While we agree the word is probably a bit overused, this seems like a pretty nitpicky hot take. And Twitter seems to agree.
