Chef Modifies Dish To Account For Food Allergy, Customer Gets Mad Over Confusion

Those brunch and lunch and dinner rushes can get extremely busy out of nowhere. As a server, one moment you might find yourself trying to waste away the time left on your shift by folding a mountain of forks, spoons, and knives into beds of napkins, and the next moment you might find a literal tidal wave of hungry and impatient customers stampeding through the restaurant's door. It can pay off if you're already naturally inclined to keep cool under pressure, because it's only a matter of time before someone stages a full on temper tantrum in a restaurant. In this case though, it sounds like the chef was really just trying to make the correct moves based off the information they had. The ball kind of falls back in the server's court for failing to tell the chef exactly who needed the modified dish.

Wholesome Girls Become Proprietors of Dirt Restaurant

Even if you don't typically think of dirt as a meal option, it's hard to argue with random kids in the park who want you to eat at their dirt restaurant. You don't turn down free dirt. Maybe they should think of being a chain restaurant, call themselves Mudruckers or Soiling Point. You know, serve stuff like gravioli or rock fish or frozen yo-dirt. For some more wholesome tales, here are wholesome things people did for the love of the game, and a daughter's twitter thread who got her dad a job at Costco. Or maybe even some blessed images to lighten the mood.

Drunken Dumpling Thieves Caught on Camera Raiding Popular Noodle Spot

After discovering that the electronic lock of Xi'an Famous Foods had malfunctioned due to a power failure, two drunk Chelsea girls noodled their way in for a late-night snack. Surveillance footage shared by restaurant owner Jason Wang shows the hungry drunkards plotting to cook dumplings and lamb noodles with little success. The young woman in Gucci shoes drops a couple of frozen dumplings into cold water and attempts to 'fry' them, while the other keeps watch at the front of the shop.

After some lively drunken banter, the two start to get nervous and give up on their culinary pursuits. Gucci girl stuffs the frozen dumplings into her bag and they split. The following day, Xi'an Famous Foods posted the footage and a statement to Facebook, urging the young women to come forward and apologize. Despite having lost a day of business and a bag of dumplings, Jason Wang decided not to file a police report. Instead, he hopes that the dumpling thieves will do the right thing on their own. Good on Xi'an for having a sense of humor about the whole thing.

Today In Probable Health Code Violations: Woman Brings Heat Styling Brush To Restaurant, Is Filmed Using It On Her Hair

Hair is one of the most important parts of our appearance. It's one of the first things that other people notice about us and it contributes to everything from our attractiveness to our perceived social standing. There's nothing like a bad hair day to ruin the mood, so it's not surprising that some go to extreme lengths to avoid it.

However, most people wouldn't take the drastic step that one woman decided on in Duffy's Sports Grill, Miami. In a video posted on Instagram, she is shown to have taken a heat styling brush with her to the restaurant and she uses it to style her hair only a few feet away from where diners are eating. Reacting to her dedication to her follicles, commenters were unsure whether they admired her commitment or if they were horrified at the prospect of a few stray strands ending up in other peoples' meals. Either way, one thing's for sure: vanity is a very powerful motivator.

Customer Asks Restaurant To Cut Burrito In Half, Restaurant Maliciously Complies

Some people can get very fired up about their burritos. Like, remember the time that a Tumblr user unleashed an epic rant about their burrito not being served up to their standards? Yeah, not a rant that's easy to forget. Well, this time around we have a couple customers that wanted their burrito cut in half. Folks in the comments section were definitely making a solid case for the stance that the restaurant really should've just cut the burrito in half and not made a big deal out of the whole thing. Especially when you consider that there are plenty of people out there that physically can't cut their burritos in half due to health conditions. For some more juicy malicious compliance drama check out the time that a rude customer got their comeuppance from an auto salvage yard employee.

A spicy customer demands that a restaurant cut their burrito in half, and the restaurant does just that.

Customer Demands Kilo of Meat To Be Weighed, Gets Less Meat

The guy went through all this to have his meal weighed so things would be "fair" and by god he got his fairness. A hilariously similar thing happened with this customer who demanded a pound of wings and got less wings. With sassier staff, customer demands can go really off the rails like this rude gentleman who demanded no ice and got less than that.

Restaurant Messes Up Woman's Meal Twice, She Sends It Back, Gets Guilt Tripped

From the get-go it sounds like this woman was committed to being a mindful and reasonable customer. The restaurant failed to serve her meal as she asked for it twice. Even with that going on, she exercised patience and understanding. After all of that though, her friends then have the audacity to send her on a guilt trip over the fact that she didn't eat the meal that had meat in it. On top of that, they give her a hard time over the 20% tip that she left.

Entitled Customer Shows Up When Restaurant's Closed, Leaves Nasty Review

The entitled people in this world that have the gross audacity to go ahead and stink up perfectly fine establishments with dishonest and downright nasty reviews because their entitlement wasn't catered to in the first place, are in a league of their own. Obviously, we're not talking about the kind of league that you'd ever want to find yourself in. We're just glad to see that this "customer" was dealt with in righteous fashion. Everyone has their breaking point, and eventually someone comes along that isn't going to put up with all of the toxic behavior. For another ridiculous case of entitlement, check out this Karen who demanded the exact change and then got upset when actually got it

21 Satisfying Times Business Owners Clapped Back At Bad Reviews

While we appreciate how wonderfully world-opening the internet is, there are some serious drawbacks to everyone feeling they have a soapbox. There's no greater example of this than restaurant reviews from rude and entitled people. Yelp gives obnoxious people another outlet for, well, being obnoxious. Fortunately, some business owners refuse to let the aggression stand, and opt to bite right back.

Restaurant Owner Has Special Wing Sauce Just For The Complainers

There's always gonna be someone who says a thing isn't spicy enough. So why not give them an opportunity to fly too close to the sun and get burned? Some customers will stand by their bad decisions, like this customer who demanded an extra hot tea and actually accepted it. But sometimes customers are so rude with their demands that they get the royal treatment like this rude gentleman who demanded no ice and got less than that.

Tweets That Capture The Joys Of Working Customer Service

Most of us have or will have to work in some sort of customer service job at some point in our lives. The industry can be great; you meet tons of people, make tips, and eat a whole bunch of delicious free food if you work in a restaurant. Perhaps the biggest downsides are the whole being-poor thing, and the fact that you have to occasionally deal with horrible customers who make you want to punch a brick wall!

Dublin Waitstaff Instigate Fight, Impress The Internet With Their Expert Moves

Throughout this year, many of us have become very familiar with outdoor dining. No matter how busy the road outside the restaurant, or what the weather conditions are, the only way to eat out Covid-free has been to enjoy a meal in the great outdoors.

In most cases, this has mostly meant long-suffering waitstaff adding braving the elements to their long list of skills. If they happen to be working in Dublin, though, their abilities don't end there. Over the weekend, a video of some servers working in the city went viral after they launched an attack on an unsuspecting gang of men.

Although the footage is alarming, the staff were reportedly acting to defend a customer who was being abused by those who were running away from them. In light of this, their demonstration of some amazing moves has had many paying respect to their fighting skills. It's not hard to see why; your favorite action movie fight scene could never.

Waiters, waitresses, and baristas are sharing their unexpected overheards that they've experienced while working on the job. Nothing quite like just trying to muddle through your work day, while you're also playing third party to what could be the ending of a relationship, or some other kind of emotional blowup between a couple people eating a meal.

Waiters and waitresses describe overheards they had while working, that they felt they shouldn't have heard | reddit posted by jacobr1020 eating at restaurant one day and boyfriend proposed his girlfriend very sweet, not attention-seeking at all, and seemed very genuine.
