Woman's Dog Runs Off After Getting in a Car Crash, Turns to TikTok for Help, Viewers Come Together and Bring the Lost Dog Home

TikToker @little.tunny was having a normal day in her hometown of St. Louis until tragedy struck. She was driving past an intersection when another car ran a red light and t-boned her. She had her sweet dog Soup in the car, and when they were t-boned, Soup hopped out of the open window and ran away scared. 

Desperate from just being in an accident and then losing her dog, she took to TikTok to find some help. With tears in her eyes she explained the situation and that her dog was chipped and should still have her collar on. She even pulled up a map of where the crash happened and described which direction she took off in—towards a park. 

“Please share with anyone in the St. Louis city area I’m so scared and heart broken”

She called for anybody in the St. Louis area to keep an eye out for her baby Soup—but the Internet did much more than that. Before the day even ended her viewers shared that video and got people in the area to help look for Soup. The TikToker and her dog were reunited not too long after she posted her desperate plea for help. A joyous reunion, especially after such a shocking experience in a car crash.

Though the Internet can be a callous and unforgiving place, it can also do wondrous things, like reunite this put with her ma. The TikToker seemed to just have suffered a few gnarly bruises from the wreck, but her pup that ran off had a bit more injuries. So it was really good that they were able to find her so quickly.

When Soup was found, all of the skin can ripped off of her paw pads, which is extremely painful for the little pup and not fun. So, of course, the TikToker rushed her over to the vet and had her all patched up. Not sweet soup is in recovery back home with her mama and her kitty sibling and this happy family can stay strong together. 

“Thanks again! Without everyone’s help sharing her missing info I would have never found her. She’s my baby and I’m so happy to have her home”

“Without the shares I wouldn't have found her at all,” the TikToker says in an update video giving tons of thanks to everyone who helped. TikTok isn't always a pleasant place, but this time it did work in favor for a beautiful cause and gave it a happy ending.
