Woman Finds $300 Hidden in the Purse She Buys From a Salvation Army Store Along With Mysterious Note on Why the Money Is In There

Salvation Army stores can always be a hit or miss. In some places, the store is upping the prices for ridiculous things like empty olive jars. In other places, the Salvation Army is staying true blue to the classic low prices and ability to score big. That is exactly what happened recently to TikToker Lynora Silverman.

Silverman was super excited for her big score she just found at her local Salvation Army store—an authentic Coach bag for only $6.99! Coach bags can go for hundreds even thousands of dollars, so this was already a big win for Lynora. The bag was old though and a little dirty, so she decided to give it a thorough cleaning before using it. She was digging through the bag and noticed the bottom linear popping off a tad. As she went to asses the damage, she saw something starting to poke out. An envelope with words written all over it. (She says Goodwill in the initial video, but admits in an update video that it was actually a Salvation Army, she just tends to call them both Goodwill—that being said, the not said Goodwill, not Salvation Army.)

When she pulled it out and looked inside the envelope, she found $300 in cash! She instantly went to read what was written on the envelope incase this was stolen money or something. But instead, she got an amazing story—the note read:

“I have three children, they will give my things to Goodwill when I die. So I am putting their inheritance inside all of my favorite things. This Coach bag was given to me years ago by my husband's girlfriend. Well, actually, I came home early from a visit to my parents house in Connecticut… She must have left quickly because she forgot her bag and shoes. I carried this bag every day—I wonder if my husband ever knew this was his girlfriend's? I carried it daily and I am giving it away because my kids don't want it. So, go buy yourself a new bag! Love, Martha”

“Check your mother’s purses before you donate them to Goodwill!”

First of all, hell yeah, Martha! What a bada$s! She obviously came from some good money and didn't want to waste it on a family that didn't respect here. So she put their inheritance into the hands of fate. The only question that Lynora has is “where is Martha?” In the note it says “when she dies” but then later it says she's in the process of conducting this plan. So it's possible that Martha is still alive and is donating her things. Especially when it comes to an authentic Coach bag being sold for such a bargain, that kind of deal doesn't last long at a Salvation Army, so she might have recently donated this item.

So, Lynora is now on the case!

#FindMartha pt. 2

The TikToker is not going the extra effort to find out more about Martha. Where was she from? Is she still alive? If she is, will her and the TikToker become BFFs? Because I think so! So many mysterious surrounding this exciting happenstance. Lynora isn't just Googling around, her last post gave an update of her actually returning to the Salvation Army where she bought the bag. She says she knows the woman who works there, she has worked there for years and knows everybody who comes in and out of that store AND she is the one responsible for the pricing. So one; she may at least remember Martha and can give a little more infot. Or two, and this one is a little more conspiracy theory, maybe she was in on it with Martha and that's why the bag was priced to low?? Lynora's followers are enthralled and cannot wait to see where this story leads!
