Sharing a space allows you to see your roommate's true colors, and there will undeniably be occasional friction taking place between you two as you adjust to the new living situation. This is just to say that there needs to be a fair share of compromise to get through it all. If there's only one fridge, each person should be able to use at least half, all bills should be split evenly, and if there's only one bathroom there shall be no bathtub hoarding.
