Listen, we love everything about cats. Every single part of them. We love cats' murderpaws, we love cats danger bellies, we love cats tails and ears and their incredibly boopable little pawfect noses. We love those things on all cats, but… when a cat has an extra something of those things, we are extra in love. Like, have you heard of the cat who was born with two noses and is twice as beautiful. What about the kitten who was born with two faces? Just means there's an extra face to love.
And what about polydactyl kitties? Polydactyl cats are born with extra toe beanz. And toe beans… they are one of our absolute favorite things about cats. It's universally loved. There exists no one in the world who doesn't want to squish a cat's toe beans. So, when cats have a few extra to beanz… well, that's just a few more beans for us to worship.
Can you even imagine being this person? Our hearts would not survive all this cuteness. Not only is this awwdorable cat sleeping and trusting its human so much, it's also allowing said human to lift up its paw while sleeping. We would be able to do nothing but gently press on each of those individual toe beans if we were this person.
For some reason, whenever we think about polydactyl kitties, we never actually think about polydactyl kittens. Of course those extra toe beans start off extra small and extra squishy, but we just never think about it. Out hearts can barely handle fully grown beans, how are we supposed to handle itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie beans?
