This one goes to all the people who somehow still believe that cats don't care about their humans. We, as cat people, clearly know that that's wrong, but some people still believe in the myths. They don't understand that cats show affection to their humans all the time. They've never experienced the funny ways in which cats show affection to their humans, or they don't understand them, misread them. They don't know that, with time and love and care, even the most aloof cats will show love to their humans. And they've never gotten to feel the magic that is an overaffectionate clingy velcro cat.
Well, today, we are going to disprove the rumors and laugh at the same time. Because while it is true that cats love us, it's also true that we need to know how to read their signs of affection. Sometimes… cats have really ridiculous yet still wholesome ways of showing their humans that they love them, and ICanHas users know that very well.
"My Freckles. She's 21 and has her own rocking chair with a heating pad. She spends most her time there, but if 2 or more humans are on the couch she likes to be between us, and when she wants food or attention she'll stand on our chests and rub her nose all over our faces."
"my kitty peyton has recently been really studying how i give her kisses. and she knows she can't do it the same way, but she's decided her method of giving me kisses is to bump her little mouth up against mine a few times and then gently lick me afterward."
