Orange Tabby's Catitude Goes Viral For His Adorable Reactions to Supremely Normal Human Objects

Some cats are a perfect exemplification of being blasé. In French, the word means “unimpressed or indifferent to something because one has experienced or seen it so often before”. However, for cats, especially one specific orange tabby on TikTok, being blasé is just a way of life— it's his Catitude.

One woman named Amaris, the self proclaimed @queenofontario, has gone viral for making videos of herself showing her orange tabby some ordinary human objects and filming his reaction. For some reason, this has become a sensation, all because of this orange tabby's sassy little face and his non-reactive presence in each video. As many “reaction videos” go, oftentimes, the subject of the video is over-the-top and annoyingly emotional while reacting to things. That gets old. Honestly, all we really want to see is a cat looking at ordinary things and not giving two licks about them.

The way that this lil guy kinda peeks at every object is just so adorable, as if he's considering its existence and decides, “Hmm, that's enough of that”. Honestly, it's the tabby's complacence that's the most endearing. There's no reason that a cat would really care much about the newspaper, but there's something silly and funny about the fact that he's looking at it at all. The humanness of the cat's reaction to boring and mundane household items is just the cutest thing in the world.

Millions of views later, the orange tabby has seen much of the human world. With over 22 parts and 22 videos posted in the last month or so, this tabby is experiencing the human world to the fullest. He's an indoor cat so maybe he missed a lot of things growing up, but now he can take one step closer to becoming a humanoid feline after all. He's just brushing up on his blasé approach to the world in the meantime.

A part of this actually feels like the intro scene to a scifi movie where a cyborg comes down from space and needs a crash course in becoming convincingly human. Isn't that really all cats are doing when we leave the house anyways? They're studying us and reading our every movement with the goal of discovering what it means to be truly human.

This is our world lil guy. Welcome to it. Perhaps one day you will be a part of the human world as much as we are a part of your universe. Until then, keep on training.
