'What's more goth than having your pawpaw burried in the backyard?': Hillbilly woman proves that southern girls are more goth and punk than any city slicker

However, some people get pigeonholed into a stereotype that isn't something they identify with. For example, when you're told to think about the difference between a goth girl and a hillbilly chick, you would probably get two very different images in mind. One southern belle, a comedian named Andi Marie, would beg to differ that there's nothing more goth, punk, or alternative than a hillbilly.

While doing a dance that has gone viral recently for its weirdness in the Wednesday Addams TV series on Netflix, Andi Marie points out the most metal things about being a hillbilly that make you rethink the stereotype.

Punks are usually against societal norms, so this definitely checks out. Andi Marie points out that, in that respect, hillbillies definitely fit the “punk” ideology because they've always been anti society, anti government, and pretty much anti people. Is it their choice to live as people of the corn? In a way…

Goths are also known for being obsessed with death. With the body of your grandpa rotting in the yard and your family's gravestones forming a cityscape on your property, I'd say that feels a little closer to death than most goths would boast. In fact, hillbillies are so goth, that they have you pick out their burial clothes and headstones well before their expiration date.

This eyeopening video really makes the point that the hillbillies in your life are probably more hardcore and alternative than you think they are. In fact, Andi Marie proves that southern girls are more than we ever thought. And in the true Wednesday Addams spirit, we're all wishing we had a little southern drawl too to prove our lineage of goths and punks.

They learnt me this dance on the tiky tok 👵🏻
