AITA: 'I don't trust my partner with the dishwasher, but still expect him to do the dishes by hand.'

You've been in a relationship for a while, and you're finally ready for the next step - moving in together. Both you and your partner are over the moon, and being in a healthy adult relationship, you coordinate expectations. Most of the time, there's nothing too extreme, and after an adjustment period, the two of you will settle into a beautiful routine of cohabitation.

But sometimes, one of you has a weird habit or request that can be difficult to meet halfway about. That's exactly what happened to the woman who posted on AITA, asking if her insistence that her boyfriend wash the dishes after himself every once in a while makes her an a$$hole. When phrased like that, we'd obviously say not at all, but then OP explains.

Apparently, she doesn't believe dishwashers are good for washing dishes (um, they're literally called a combination of the words dish and wash) and doesn't trust her boyfriend with her delicate dishes. All this was communicated in advance, and OP's boyfriend told her that if he couldn't use the dishwasher, he isn't doing the dishes. Now she's using the dishwasher for storage and getting catty about him never doing the dishes.

Don't be this gal, ladies. Let the dishwasher fulfill its destiny, and drink a cup of tea while scrolling through the amusing responses of Redditors finest.
