Each and every one of us, cat owners, has a story of how we adopted our cats. Some of us planned on it - wanted a cat for a long, long time, chose carefully, and finally went to adopt one day. Some of us rescued cats - from shelters, from the streets, from trash cans sometimes. And some of us did not adopt their cats. No, some of us were adopted by our cats.

Yep, it's a story as old as time, very well known in the cat community - it is fact sometimes, it is the cat who adopts you. Now, the ones of us who have had cats for many years have already come to the conclusion that, in fact, every single cat has adopted its owner and not the other way around. But the new cat owners have yet to embrace that fact, so we'll let them live in the illusion for a while longer. You know, we can't be mad at this. Clearly, this cat saw an opportunity in the form of a mildly inebriated and therefore easy to manipulate and take advantage of human and took it. And found its forever home- just like that. Gotta respect the hustle.

Cats just know sometimes - "this is my human". Doesn't matter whether they find you on the porch of your home or in some random place in the world. They choose us, not the location. We are their homes. These stories are proof of that.
