If the social media outrages of this past summer have taught us anything, it is that it's rarely a good sign to see the words 'American', 'European', and 'vacation' in the same sentence. Nonetheless, many people that hail from the land of the free seem to love nothing more than an extended vacation in Western Europe. In principle, there's nothing wrong with that! In practice, though, it can lead to some silly situations that have a propensity to go viral.
Just when we thought all the European vacation hype had died down, one family came in strong to prove us wrong. Visiting Munich, Germany, they let their car's GPS guide them through the middle of a famously pedestrianized plaza. While some viewers took in this sight with some semi-ironic patriotic pride, others wondered why they didn't at least try public transport. They put money into it over there, you know.
