It doesn't matter what you think about boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z, and so on—the generations are always at war. Heck, the early 1900s generation called themselves "the greatest generation"—I think that makes it pretty obvious that things tend to be competitive when it comes to the era you're born into. So, recently, millennials saw an opportunity to rag on the boomers who raised them and blamed them, and you better believe they took it. A millennial on TikTok made a video addressing an article talking about the "silver tsunami," which is when an estimated 10,000 boomers A DAY will start to go into retirement. Which, consequently, means a lot of boomers are unfortunately likely going to end up homeless. This should garner sympathy and stress, but it would appear that many millennials have past their threshold when it comes to their empathy towards boomers, because they showed no mercy in the comment section… The dark-humored millennials flooded the comments with snarky and witty clap backs towards boomers that roasted, sizzled, and burned. Obviously, the humor is simply a coping mechanism to not feel alone in the impending doom to come, because it's not like any boomers are going to see this comment section in a popular Gen Z app… Just saying.
