Home of the brave, land that I love, my country 'tis of thee sweet land of liberty… In other words, hi there, I am American. We have earned ourselves quite the reputation, but let's put all the obvious things aside for a moment, and take a look at the more humoristic side of things. Why are we so weird? Are we weird, or are others weird? Who is the weirdest? Every time I meet someone from abroad, or when I visit another country, we always fall into the same discussion. Taxes, tipping, toilets… Always something to talk about. They bring up some pretty good questions, and I never know how to answer them.

In the end I just sort of nod my head, and say, 'You're right'. Because they are. Why are our taxes so frustratingly difficult? Why can't employers pay their workers properly? And why on earth do bathroom stalls have a gap large enough for others to see us while we're doing what we have got to do? So many questions, and very little answers.
