'I wasn't even given a single shift': Hotel chain fires employee before they start
Getting fired can send you into a spiral of self-doubt. Even if you feel justified in your actions, you can't help but feel the bruise to your ego. What's worse, though, is losing a job and not knowing why. One of my friends was fired from a job with very little notice or forewarning, leaving her scrambling to pick up the pieces. It's a tough break, and you're left wondering what you could have done differently.
What's even worse than that, though, is getting fired before even starting the job. Didn't think that was possible? Think again. You're riding the high of being accepted at a new place, getting excited for your first day, and telling all your friends and family about your new gig, and then suddenly it's gone before it started. Such is the case in a recent Reddit post that left commenters scratching their heads.
