I am a huge proponent of dressing a little ~differently~. I love eccentric fashion, bold choices, and alienating the public with your look. As humans, we forget that we have the agency to do whatever we want. If we wanted to wear a bowler hat every day for the rest of our lives, we could. If I wanted everyone to start calling me "Annabella Strange" and pretend I'm an 1890s circus performer… that might take some convincing, but I'm sure I could quickly find my people in the cosplay/burlesque/clowning world.
What I mean to say is that we can present ourselves however we like, and it's astounding that most of us choose to conform. That's why we get so intrigued by the folks who have chosen to break the mold. Like this professor couple who recently captured the internet's attention for their larger-than-life book jacket photo. But watch out, the plot thickens.
