‘You actually got me more money, so thank you’: Server makes an extra $100 tip after she catches one of her tables trying to dine and dash and another table sympathizes

  • If you have ever worked in a restaurant then you understand the plight of slowly losing your faith in humanity with each shift you work. Why do some people think dinning out is their chance to act like completely uncivilized brutes and take advantage of the hard working staff? They might be called servers, but they are not born to serve you. They are paid to serve you food, so treat them like the humans they are and pay them what they freaking deserve. Like, dang, is it really that hard to understand?

    Apparently so, as you seen in this rant video of a server on TikTok. She recently caught a table trying to dine and dash. The bill was over $100 and she was suspicious of these two ladies from the start. As a server you gain that intuition. So when it came time for them to pay the bill one disappeared and the other she caught right as she was trying to leave. Confrontation occurs and security gets involved. Eventually, a manager came and got the devious customer to Cash App the server the money she was owed, PLUS 20% tip. 

    Additionally, an actual civilized table she had that witnessed the entire situation felt bad and tipped her and extra $100. So really, it wasn't the worst day for a server in the industry. Still never fun to have to deal with that level of stress though, especially when you're basically only making minimum wage… Check out the entire story below! (Video at the end.)

    grace.rayy grace All of a sudden, I get like 5 million Facetime calls from that number and I keep declining, but they keep calling me. So I transfer the money over to my bank, and I blocked them. You think you can walk out on me? No, no, no, no. Because if it's not me, it's Jo. And you know what? Jo doesn't play. Like, we call her manager Jo for a reason. And afterwards, the table next to them saw everything that was happening and tipped me $100. So, yeah, *itch, you got me MORE money. Thank you
