Gender reveal parties have been all over the news in the past decade or so, and rarely for good reasons. There was one that started a forest fire in California. There was one that resulted in a plane crash and the untimely demise of two people. There was another in Iowa that caused a wayward explosion. Someone even ended up with a dart lodged in their ankle after a failed reveal. Injury or death via gender reveal party has sadly and astoundingly become not that uncommon.
