‘You’re treating me like a child’: Husband Puts His Foot Down About Having Another Child and Dog Due to Past Financial Stresses, Wife Threatens to Leave

Open communication is crucial, and for me, emotional stability is number one. Couples will always have disagreements, conflicts, and things to work through, but it's how you handle these things that matters the most. Getting angry or heated about a conflict is the opposite of what I would want in a relationship. It's important to keep yourself grounded in the face of opposition. That's exactly what this wife doesn't do. 

In this Reddit thread, the couple has struggled financially for years, to the point where they couldn't even buy each other Christmas gifts one year. They have one child, a dog, and a home. After years of struggling, they finally have a safety net. This sparks the wife to suggest having another kid and getting another dog. I'm on the husband's side; just because you're in the green now, doesn't mean to throw it all away the second you have it.
