There's a reason that some parents are anxious for the Christmas season to start. Granted, every holiday has some form of adorable clothing that your sweet, cherubic child can wear, but Christmas clothes are arguably the cutest. Footie pajamas, puffy coats, and rosy cheeks are the reason that most moms can even survive such a hectic season. And with only a few short weeks to get our Christmas chores done, the only way to truly enjoy the season is to start a little early, right?
I'm a Christmas-o-phile myself–I can't help it. The twinkling lights, the decorations, and unbridled glee make the end of the year go by in a flash, but in the way that fireworks flash before us: Bright, beautiful, and awe-inspiring. So while some moms dread the responsibility of gift giving, stocking stuffing (wait, doesn't Santa do that?), and getting all of their Christmas cards out in time, the true meaning of Christmas has nothing to do with the fluff and the stuff–it's about core memories with your kids that evolve every year into something more and more sacred. Some day, your kids will be inviting their college boyfriends to dinner and eventually (maybe) bringing along some grandkids, but for now, your Christmas kiddos are perfectly preserved as innocent, happy, and joyful little beings.
