Have you ever hired a friend to work with you? Well, I have, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only does it make work super fun, but we make a great team as well, and I think it shows in our success. If you haven’t worked with a friend before, maybe you’ve worked with family? That’s a whole other animal, and not something I would experiment with if it were me.

Aunt gives away family business to random 30-year-old employee instead of her son, he quits on the spot and she blames the other workers for ruining their relationship: “They haven’t talked since that day”
Work is like our second home, it's where we spend our days and most of our time. Your employees become your close friends, or even close like family. Everyone has their work bestie, work wife, or work husband. It's an intimate and fragile environment. We all have a coworker we can't stand, but when you have to work one on one with someone who doesn't match your vibe, things get out of hand.
Have you ever hired a friend to work with you? Well, I have, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only does it make work super fun, but we make a great team as well, and I think it shows in our success. If you haven't worked with a friend before, maybe you've worked with family? That's a whole other animal, and not something I would experiment with if it were me. Family is forever, and family is even more intimate in ways than your friends. Especially if you hire multiple family members, then they're all in the loop of the workspace.
In the story below, it centers around a family business. The protagonist is a man whose aunt owns the shop, and many of her children work there. He starts to see some unequal and unethical behavior from her, and push comes to shove.
