I’ve definitely seen this first hand. A friend of mine had the seemingly perfect family; his parents really bent over backwards to help and support him, always telling him how perfect and brilliant he is, not to mention he grew up highly wealthy. Even though he got the best treatment and should be the “best” kind of person, he just grew into being a bratty, spoiled, entitled, and selfish adult.

17-year-old demands dad buy him $80k convertible, father grounds him instead after school principal reveals his bratty misbehavior: “My son isn’t getting his phone or Xbox anytime soon”
Hey there ladies and gentlemen of the internet. Parenting is always a balancing act. While you want to give them everything, you simultaneously need to teach them valuable life lessons about earning, generosity, and kindness. Unfortunately, not everything in life feels like an equal exchange. You may feel like you're done everything for your kid and gave them proper love, kindness, and opportunities, but in the real world, they grew up to be a spoiled brat. Too much of a good thing turns into a bad thing.
If you're too spoiled it could have adverse affects. The world revolves around you, you had no understanding of real or basic life struggles, and it really isolates you. It's even hard to maintain relationships with people like this.
In the story below, the father protagonist tries to give his teenage son the best life he can. He enrolls the boy in private school, but no good deed goes unpunished and his good intentions backfire quickly.
