  • "She'll come when I say she will!" Rant/Vent Those were the exact words that came of my MILs mouth this morning.
  • For some context: I'm 38/4 weeks pregnant & I'm due really soon (29th of May). I've been struggling with this pregnancy a lot - nausea, random bleeds, heartburn, you name it. It got a bit better in the
  • second trimester (if you don't count the pneumonia I got from progressed flu - which was a fun MIL experience as well) but now as I'm nearing the end, I got all the first trimester symptoms back - so it's safe to say I'm just about ready to be done with it asap.
  • Now back to my rant: Ever since my MIL learned we're expecting and that we're expecting a girl, she's been saying she's afraid of the baby. Annoying, but we managed to ignore it. Now as I'm
  • nearing the end and she hears me or husband say we're ready for her to finally come, she says sh: like: "Nooo, not yet! I asked her not to come last week and she listened to me!"
  • "I'm just going to ask her to stay put this week too! She'll listen to me, you'll see!" "She'll come when I say she will, not a day sooner!"
  • And my personal "favourite": "Ooh, she better not come before I have a chance to dye my hair!" B, it's not like she's going to ask for you permission to be born,
  • especially not this close to the due date when she could come at literally any given time! She could come in an hour from me posting this, for all we know!
  • What makes you think you have any freaking say in when my baby will or should arrive? For f sake S
  • NeatSpiritual579 I'm sorry, but the line about dying her hair before she comes is killing me because I said the same thing about my youngest. He was born at 31+5, and I didn't get the opportunity
  • to dye my hair until a week before he came home. Lmao . She just needs to hush and do everything she wants done before baby girl is born, done. Sending you hugs. I'm sorry your MIL is being such a pain.
  • OhSo_CoCo But it's not like the MIL is having the baby... she can still go to the hair appointment after baby arrives! _ToughChickpea OP That was what I said to her too! Even if I go in labour the very same day, it'll take another three to four days before we're back from the hospital, and then another few before we're ready to recieve visitors!
  • So she still has the whole week for her hair appointment if that's what she wants to get done before meeting her granddaughter, lol!
