Over the weekend, fans at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim got to see a one minute teaser for Star Wars: Rogue One, and one brave smuggler has brought it forth for the rest of us. It may have been filmed on a potato, but it's enough to get us through to the official release of the teaser.
Here's what we know about Star Wars: Rogue One so far:
The film takes place between episodes III and IV, and will "revolve around a rogue band of resistance fighters who unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans and bring new hope to the galaxy." It stars Felicity Jones (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Theory of Everything), and, according to rumor, Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi (though the voice in this trailer sounds an awful lot like Alec Guinness). Rogue One is to be the first in a series of Star Wars spin-off films, which will be known collectively as the Star Wars Anthology Series.
It may be too soon to say for sure, but this movie looks like it's gonna be awesome!
