Dog Stolen from Family Gets Reunited Through the Louisiana SPCA and Hugs His Long Lost Mama

Tragically, there are people out there who steal dogs from loving families. There are many sinister reasons why—to sell them, to fight them, etc.—but every now and then, something happens and these dognapped pups find their way home.

This was the lucky story for Cow in Louisiana. Cow is a black and white pit mutt. The sweetheart was found tied to a fence outside of a Louisiana SPCA shelter. The employees obviously took in Cow and stared working on finding him a new loving home. They took care of him and gave him a place to stay while they searched. However, it wasn't a new family that the found for Cow to adopt, they actually found something even better—Cow's original family.

It's obvious in the video that this is Cow's people. When Cow is approached by the SPCA workers, she's sweet, but he seems apprehensive and a little nervous. But the second his long lost mama walked into that shelter, Cow was literally bouncing off the walls with excitement. It turns out that Cow had been stolen from the family several month prior and they were heartbroken. Luckily, Cow was chipped and the SPCA was able to reunite them once a stranger unanimously returned her.

The reunion is wholesome and beautiful. Cows mom walked in and you can see how happy the sweet pup gets. She's so excited to see his long lost ma, that when the woman walked into the room Cow was in, he instantly jumped into her arms. Now, Cow is no tiny pup anymore, but he needed to hug his mom and nothing was going to stop him—not even a little thing called gravity.

Cow looks like he never wants to stop hugging his ma. Even at the end of the video when they show the entire family—Cow. mom, dad, and baby sister—it looks like Cow is still jumping up to get more hugs. And that family obviously loves that dog so much, they're never going to let him go again.

Commenters are simply in tears over the heartwarming reunion. One commenter said, “The way he hugged her back…I’m not crying, you’re crying 🥺.” While another commented, “His reaction when he sees his family (and vice versa) speaks volumes on the love that’s there. I’m sooo glad they got him back 🥰🥰.”

We're all so happy Cow was reunited with his loving family, and the family seems whole once again. This video also points out how important it is to get your dogs chipped. If it wasn't for that chip, the SPCA would've never been able to find Cow's original family.

“Reunited and it feels so good! After being separated from his family for months, Cow finally gets to go home!”
