Viral Husky Who Loves Watching TV and Fell in Love with a Trampoline Commercial Finally Gets Her Own Trampoline

Though it's thought dogs cannot recognize small screens like on your phone or tablet because of their “hunting” eyesight. Since their eyes evolved for hunting, they're better at seeing movement from a distance and have strong peripheral vision. But, it is also though that on large screens, especially hi-def screens, dogs can register movement and get a sense of what's happening. This sometimes leads to wholesome content of dogs watching TV and reacting like excited children. At least, this is the case for viral TikTok dog Penelopii, aka @penelly.watches.telly, the young husky who loves watching TV. 

Penii's gone viral many times for her adorable reactions to different things she watches on TV. But her biggest hit was her reaction to the John Lewis commercial featuring a Boxer dog happily jumping on a trampoline. The viral TikTok shows Penii watching the commercial in awe, looking like she has fallen in love with the idea of jumping on a trampoline. 

John Lewis Commercial ft. the Trampoline:

John Lewis is a company that sells “homeware, fashion, electricals & more.” The commercial is set during Christmas. It shows a little girl who loves to jump on her bed, so her parents decide to get her a trampoline. They set it up the night before while their daughter is asleep and while it sits there in the backyard awaiting Christmas morning, wildlife approach it and have a blast jumping on it. While that is happening in the night, the family's Boxer dog is watching it with curiosity through the window. When Christmas morning comes, the girl is excited to see her trampoline, but before she can get a jump in, the dog runs in front of her and starts excitedly jumping on the trampoline. The tag line is “gifts that everyone will love.”

The adorable commercial catches the eye of Penii and she is stoked about it. Who knows what's actually going on in her head while she watches this commercial, but viewers seem to think it's that she needs a trampoline.

Viewers flooded the comment section of that video and every video since saying Penii needs her own trampoline. Even Chewy, the popular petshop site, commented on Penii's TikTok saying they need to start selling dog trampolines. Since then, Penii's parents bought her a trampoline and have been documenting the long awaited arrival of it. It's been an epic several days of waiting, but the time has finally come. And guess what? Penii loves it!

Now, Penii has her own trampoline to jump on and can live out her fantasy of being that Boxer on the John Lewis commercial. But it's not just Penii's reaction to the trampoline that keeps her follower count on TikTok growing. She reacts to many things on TV, especially if it features a dog or any animal. She loves the Budweiser commercial of the lost dog being found by her large horsey friends. She also enjoys watching animal movies like Babe, Balto, and Lady & the Tramp. 

Is Penii actually registering what's going down on the screen and following the story? We'll never know, but her face makes it look like she does and it's just absolutely adorable.
