Frozen gelatinous cubes, tricky hidden symbols, illusions, and situations that are too easy to figure out, so no one ever does.
I'm gonna stop myself right here, I am no dungeon master. I am not a credible source on all things D&D. But let's get one thing straight, I know a good time when I see it and there's nothing like a curveball trap during a game. This TikToker who actually often calls on the magically community of D&D TikTok has asked masters what their favorite trap they've ever played on a party is and the answers are super entertaining.
If you like the game and are trying to up you plots, dive into these videos and take notes on some of these TikToker's suggestions.
“Only do this with players who are cool." Need a break to figure something out, but don't wanna actually call a break? This guy's got the thing for you!
Basically an escape room, but in D&D form.
They think they can escape an ooze? Nah dog, this one is loaded into a ballista mechanism called the “Jell-O shot.”
The little house looks all cute an unsuspecting, but when you walk in BOOM you get devoured by a giant gelatinous cube.
Speaking of the handy gelatinous cubes, this guys throws frozen ones his party's way and gives them a run for their roll.
Need your party to shut up for a bit? Send them into a room where if you make any sound, it will spawn a monster. Good luck!
This guy made an awesome looking orb that you just goooottta touch, but when you do spikes start coming down from the ceiling. How do you get out of that one?? Bet you'd never think just to touch the orb again because the spikes are like one of those touch lamps…
I'm gonna be honest, I'm lost with this one, so I'm gonna skip trying to explain it. If you're a D&D expert, watch this one.
Have them follow a spirit wolf to a dead end and then a wave of rats coming charging towards them (except, the wave of rats is an illusion). lol
