Woman Dedicates Entire TikTok to Providing Bathroom Codes & Free Bathroom Locations in NYC

If you've ever been to NYC then you know how hard it is to find a bathroom to use when you're on the go. Most bars and restaurants only allow paying customers to use the restroom, many of the parks' “public” restrooms tend to be closed because the city doesn't want to pay to maintain them, and places like Starbucks and fast food joints usually require a code to get in. And you wonder why one of the most common descriptions of the city is that it smells like piss… (It's because everyone just ends up peeing on the street, if you didn't get that.)

Well, one TikToker is coming to everyone's bladder's rescue—@got2gonyc is a TikTok account completely dedicated to providing information on free bathrooms in the city. Run by a woman named Teddy Siegel, she does the work of gathering all the info she's found from crowdsourcing on her TikTok to her own research on the bathrooms around the city and putting it onto a source everyone has access to. She's even created a Google Maps that shows exactly on the map where the free bathrooms are.

It's not just her own research that gets all these information. It's mostly other TikTokers who know NYC commenting where they know the free bathrooms are. Plus, there are people sharing bathroom codes to places that wouldn't usually share their code to just anyone. It's become a debated issues sometimes in the comments—some people love her for it and others think she's “screwing” those businesses because now people are only going to to use the free restrooms. She even has a list of bathrooms that are gender neutral for those uncomfortable using specified gendered bathrooms.

She even has discovered the the Bryant Park bathrooms are the best public restrooms in NYC. They are not only cleaned regularly and decorated, they provide free women's products as well.
