Kindergarten Teachers Get Spooked When They Hear Scratching Sounds from a Backpack, Find a Live Turtle

It was another normal day at school, as normal as it can be these days during a pandemic. Two kindergarten teachers were quietly working in an empty classroom as their students were off doing physical activities in gym class. Usually this is the time the teachers can bask in the moment of silence they get between teaching rooms full of toddlers, but today something was different. As they were working they started to hear scratching noises. At first they probably tried to dismiss it. Thinking maybe it was a rouge mouse in the wall or a tree branch scraping the window from the outside. But the scratching persisted in a way that didn't match up with those theories. 

The teachers decided to investigate. Now these aren't detectives, these are kindergarten teachers, so they were not looking for fingerprints or hidden clues. They were just shuffling some things around the area the heard the noise. It was the backpack area, so after brushing the packs aside and finding nothing, they decided it was time to go a little further into their investigation. They looked into a few backs. Finally, they get to a bag that moved a tiny bit on its own. They didn't know what to expect, but children do the darnedest things, so it really could be anything. When they finally opened the pack and gathered up the courage to look inside the teach found a pour little creature just trying to break free. It was a small turtle. 

Sure, the teachers were relieved that it was just a turtle and not a rat or pet tarantula, but the turtle still cause a lot of question to arise. Where did this child get the turtle? Is it his pet turtle he decided to bring from home? Did he simply find this turtle on his way to school and decided to pick it up and bring it with him? Was this a tradeski situation where one kind brought a Twinkie and the other a turtle and they switched? 

“Just when I thought teaching through a pandemic couldn’t get any more hectic… this happened.”

One of the teachers finally had a realization. The child in question had earlier that day talked to her about his pet turtle. She said he talked about it for like half an hour and it was adorable. She had no idea he was talking about a turtle in his back pack. The teachers were afraid at first, but eventually pulled the pour little guy out of the bag and put it in a container. What they did next, we don't know? Many viewers have questions: how is the turtle? what did the kid say? Who they heck packed his lunch of a Slim Jim and Doritos??
