"Will It Swaddle?": Labor/Delivery Nurse Goes Viral for Attempting to Swaddle Things That Don't Really Need to Be Swaddled

Swaddling is the tried and true way to wrap a baby in blanket(s). It is proven to protect your baby against their “natural startle reflex,” which means better sleep for both the baby and the parent. It's also thought to calm a baby with a tummy ache and eliminate anxiety—which can help the baby learn to self-sooth. It also keeps the baby's hands off their face, to help prevent scratching and spreading bacteria to the mouth. Jen Hamilton is a professional labor and delivery nurse. She also has two of her own children, who are now 9 and 5 years old. So she has had lots of experience in the swaddling business. She's also had a heavy presence on TikTok for a while now, getting well into the six figures when it comes to views. But her most recent TikTok series is what's pushing her to the millions.

How to Swaddle:

“Will It Swaddle?” Is a series Hamilton started where she swaddles things that are not babies. It's hilarious, as well as informative about swaddling. She's swaddle three cats—a sweet one, a spicy one, and a large one—a chicken, and even her grown adult male husband. Each episode gets more ambitious than the next with what is being swaddles. TikTok viewers absolutely love it and even posts requests of what she should swaddle next.

“Accomplished, double board certified registered nurse with 10 years of experience,” Hamilton posts in a TikTok. “Goes viral for swaddling a chicken.”

She also has been going viral lately for her series that very candidly talks about her marriage issues and how her and her husband has worked through them. That conversation started on her TikTok when she posted about how she was sick of seeing influencers posting about their “perfect” marriage, when in reality, no marriage is perfect. She admits that her husband actually had a full on separation years back, but were able to work through it with counseling and are now doing great. Her viewers loved the breath of fresh air that brought a realness to marriage on social media and she continues the series helping others going through marriage rough patches.

“The next time someone says to me, ‘my baby just won’t let me swaddle them’ I’m directing them straight here,” one commenter put on the video of Hamilton swaddling a chicken. “Never in a million years would I think I would watch a chicken get swaddled but I’m not disappointed,” another said. Obviously, the swaddling series is a hit and parents needing a little extra help and/or encouragement in the swaddling department can just head to Hamilton's TikToks.
