As a kid who grew up poor, I always dreaded my school's "Pajama Day" There was never a greater indicator of economic differences beyond, say, sneakers. My threadbare Garfield nightgown was terribly embarrassing, and I felt awful standing next to the girls with matching two piece Aladdin-themed sets, or even Barbie. I thought that my days of thinking about pajama day were long gone, but the topic has become quite the a meme on the r/dankmemes subreddit and beyond. These memes seem to be more focused on "the kid who sleeps naked" than anything else, and the image of kids rolling throughschoolnaked on Pajama Day makes the meme's success pretty understandable.
As cartoon characters go, Garfieldis pretty much as relatable as they come. We definitely hate Mondays, and could probably house more lasagna than the disgruntled cat could ever dream of. But complaining about the worst day of the week doesn't get you anywhere. It's better to take action to change your mood, and looking through these memes might be the fun you need to
We love a tongue-in-cheek shitpost that takes us back to "the good old days," and boy, does this one check both of those boxes. Harkening back to our childhood school days with references to "independent reading time" and "silent reading time," these memes take the tone of a teacher's pet, and they're pretty freaking hilarious. To make things even funnier, the memes use Impact ironically - a touch that really takes things to the next shitpost-y level. We've scraped the hallowed halls of Know Your Meme for our favorites, but we expect to see more of these in coming days. And we ain't mad about that.
Ever have those days where you want something to do but you don't want actually think? That's when we start to re-watch The Office for the sixth time and zone out on our phones. This selection of memes and tweets is perfect for anyone looking to mindlessly scroll through content while pretending to do something like watching tv or catching up on work. We got you.
Is it just us, or do Spongebob memes just keep getting funnier the older we get?
The grand misadventures of Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, Mr Krabs and of course, Plankton. To this day I have the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. song stuck in my head... down in the deep blue sea.
The weekend is our time. Time to say f*ck the man, time to do whatever the hell we want. That could mean mowing the lawn, going out with friends, risking your life while seeing Joker or just scrolling through memes. If you choose the latter option, we've definitely got you covered with this gallery.
Happy Leif Erikson Day! It's a joyous day indeed celebrating the Norse explorer for supposedly being the first European to set foot in North America. The Spongebob episode about the holiday is probably what's given it the most publicity.
Fun fact: October 9th has nothing to do with Leif Erickson himself, but rather marks the day that the ship the Restauration arrived in the New York from Norway, bringing with it an influx of Norwegian immigrants.
Sometimes it feels a bit like beating a dead horse with all of this flat-earther trolling, but it's just too easy. Why are there so many people in this world who refuse to believe in science? We'll probably never fully know. So anyway, please enjoy these ridiculous flat-earther memes that favor science!
