Sounds like a nice get away. Did you find some good food? My strength is slowly improving as is my calorie intake. I never thought I'd have to work hard to gain weight. I wish I could enjoy it more. I'm having bacon and eggs for breakfast each day and a protein shake with ice cream for dinner. I had to get the idea of 3 square meals out of my head. Between Breakfast and dinner I have to have multiple snacks to get a meal's worth of calories. It has been hot here..two days in a row now of over 100.

I do keep earthquake supplies. I should rotate them though. Water supplies always are a problem. I'm glad your sister is safe. I hope the damage to the property isn't bad.

Obviously my brother's family is my primary concern. Beyond that, the Hayward Fault lies between my home and our primary water supply...snow melt from the Sierras. If that supply gets cut off due to damage to infrastructure. That is odd that your tree frog shows up at your place more when it's been raining.

The Hayward Fault runs up the east side of the bay. There's a lot of infrastructure right under it...hospitals and such like that. I'm not a fan of outside cats to begin with but in coyote country it's really scary. Is your little tree frog still hanging around.

If my home was along the bay and built on fill then I'd be more concerned. I'm tucked along the foothills and on bedrock mostly so I'm as safe as one can be this close to the San Andreas Fault. The greater risk is to the Hayward Fault. That's my brother's problem as he's almost on top of it and it hasn't released any pressure since before the SF 06 quake.

I figured you were safe up there but it's a scary situation. Just being grateful for not getting hit by tornadoes plays with my mind. Accepting that tornadoes are a real possibility is uncomfortable. We deal with earthquakes out here but it's not like there's an annual season for them. And then hurricanes...yeesh! Glad your sister has been spared.

I can usually grab top shelf items but I have stepped up on the bottom shelf a time or two. If they really want to sell a particular item they shouldn't stock it on the top shelf.

Having a frog land on my face would be traumatizing. I feel for the kid. I don't think the baby backs are going to happen today. I'll probably bring them up to the folks' place on Tuesday. I'm going to have Mom put a hem in my new jeans. Since I'm vertically challenged they just don't sell pants off the rack that don't require shortening. Even after losing all this weight I'm still screwed. What did Chuck decide on for dinner?

That little guy needs to be careful with that croak. He doesn't want to attract too much attention or he'll end up being a meal. Had my monthly dr appt yesterday. Numbers are all good and stable...except my weight. I lost another five pounds in the last month. The doctor assures me that my taste buds and appetite should recover over the next two months. In the meantime I need to force myself to get more calories. That's an odd problem for me to have but I get it. Are you guys cooking up anything special for Memorial Day? I've got some baby backs that I'll likely do on Sunday.

That's a long time to leave a house vacant. I'm surprised they didn't drop the price and unload it sooner. Obviously they didn't want to be bothered with it. I hope you get some good neighbors.

You won't last until September. You'll be messing with long before then. How long had those neighbors lived there before they put it on the market? Some people get a number stuck in their head due to the size of their mortgage. It's been some time since there was much dark hair up top...close to ten years. I'll be content if I get back to my energy level of a year before I got sick.

Sometimes I rationalize spending money like that pretending it's like an auto repair. It's money that needs to be spent and I'll be happy once it's done. I've watched all the Warriors games and have seen them come from behind again and again. I kinda trust that they'll overcome and am rarely disappointed. Ten years on the market indicates that they had unrealistic expectations and set their list price too high. Do you know? Did they have to drop their price to get a deal done? My hair has really started to grow back. The odd thing is that it's all dark and not grey. I guess using cord blood for my transplant made me younger. ;)

Thanks paws he’s doing well! Gets regular check ups but the transplant seems to have worked thanks to the donor ..so grateful he is hoping to get back to his studying in September waiting to hear from uni.. he will travel up and down as most of the digs are not in good enough states for him to live in while he continues to heal.. wow glad you got away from the ivy! It’s been good weather lately so did more painting lol it’s a wall at the side of the house and it’s gone from magnolia to sky blue it’s very bright.. at first I was oh crap but it’s growing on me have to give it another coat and got bits and pieces to hang on it it’s radical!

The front yard will consistently look better as the gardener does everything every two weeks. I did edging and trimming only when it was clearly necessary. For the right price I'm certain someone would free you from having to deal with your jungle. The Warriors game was very entertaining last night. It's fun when the Warriors are playing loose and distributing the ball and sinking 3s.

Ah know what you mean about the planting the smell and the feel of the earth is hard to beat! Finished up the painting for now back to the weed lifting they seem to grow over night and stick their tounges out at you! Yes it’s great that Lexi hasn’t too much longer to go she’s well organised already with things put aside and starting to decorate a nursery they have a young cat called Leo he’s a funny little thing cute little face loves to explore and always climbing up for hugs to the both. He curls up beside the bump so cute!
