Niantic revealed today that summer's most popular game is teaming up with the Apple Watch. And we quote from the folks over at The Verge, for which features will be available for players trying to use the app on their watches in upcoming days:

"The Apple Watch app will display how far the player needs to walk to hatch an egg, the required experience points to reach the next level, and additional info about the player's fitness. The app will also let players see when a pokémon appears or when a pokéstop is nearby without looking at their smartphone."

Shigeru Miyamoto the Super Mario Bros. creator and general video game design legend stepped up on stage during Apple's event to make the announcement that we are set to receive our first ever Nintendo game on the App Store---and that it'll be starring Mario!

Titled Super Mario Run, the game will be available this December.
