Server Shares What It's Like Working the Brunch Shift in 100+ Degree Weather While Karen Customers Complain About the Dumbest Things

It you've ever worked a service industry job in your life then you are familiar with at least one thing—people suck… Not ALL people, obviously, but when you work in a restaurant you really get a glimpse into the world of a-holes. Why is it that male and female Karens truly love to lose their sh*t at servers?? Somehow crappy people enter a restaurant and they think that because you're a server, they are allowed to treat you any sh*tty way they want… It's the gd worst. 

Anyways, TikToker Theresa Rowley often shares her experiences during her brunch shift, and they are always entertaining. Recently, she shared a tale of a horrible customer experience as she was working her brunch shift. Something servers are familiar with as well, is that servers working the brunch shift are usually hungover. It's just the plight of the shift. So, yes, Rowley was a little hungover, but what was really the kicker is that the temperature was over 100° Fahrenheit.

A Karen customer comes in hot, both literally and figuratively, and instantly waves many red flags. First off, she demands to have a job application that she completely fills out, and when Rowley reads it, the Karen had filled it out for her adult son standing with her… Okay, Karen, if he can't even fill out his on application, why would you think he could even do this job? You gonna come do his shift for him too??

And secondly, on top of her being rude to Rowley and the staff the entire time, she is complaining about the bugs in the outdoor patio. It's outside, Karen… What do you expect the servers to do about that?? She demands Rowley to take care of the flies, but Rowley just looks at her with zero f*cks left to give. Karen then goes on to tell her that she took a sip of her wine (in 100+ degree weather…) and there was a live fly in it. The fly apparently flew around in her mouth, so she spat it out onto the table and it flew away. But that is why the table is covered in spilled wine…
